Fall 2021
I was honored to be part of this Interdisciplinary Residency at Oak Spring Garden Foundation with 5 other talented and intelligent artists and scientists in fall 2021. During the 5-week period, I explored various natural dyes sourced from on-site walled garden and the surrounding fields. It was a very productive time- approximately 3bls of agar were used to create all the flowers seen in this post.

Since I always believe the flowers in my eyes could be a different one through another person’s eyes, during the open studio hour, I gave every visitor a task to identify the flowers I made.
